Transgenerational Effects and Epigenetics:
Research into transgenerational effects and epigenetics sheds light on how amphetamine use may influence not only individuals but also future generations. Epigenetic changes, alterations in gene expression without changes to the underlying DNA sequence, may play a role in transmitting vulnerabilities to substance use disorders. Understanding these intergenerational dynamics contributes to a more comprehensive understanding of the long-term impact of amphetamine use.
