This article is mildly insulting to teachers. The notion that all it takes to teach well is to care about teaching is implied in here and that is not accurate. You can care and still be a poor teacher. If anyone in the world thinks they can throw down in chemistry or physics with me it would take a very short time to expose their ignorance. Would we reduce this in another field to caring? Of course not. Good teachers does not need to coincide with well-liked teachers and this article flirts with that line too much for me personally.
