To ensure they work properly, we have rechecked every link as of publishing this update. Be aware of the following before you move on:
- After the trial version expires, it will return to its original functionality and essentially become file viewers. You will need to reinstall Windows to get them working again. It is unlikely that a restore point, or similar image-based solution, would work.
- While you won't need a product code to install the application, activating the product will require one.
- If you have a Microsoft ID you can activate the applications. The product key card is the fastest and most cost-effective way to do this.
- You might need to manually white list certain files because some security programs may quarantine setup.exe
- Sometimes the IMG file is what you download. Use 7-Zip, or another archive utility, to extract the files. Next, run setup.exe.
- The files are legal and genuine, all downloaded directly from the developer. These files can be downloaded for backup purposes without any charges.

Office 2019
Office 2019 is the next best option if you are concerned about older versions not being supported in future. Office 2019 is just like older versions of Microsoft Office. You only pay once and it's yours forever.
You will not be able to use OneDrive for cloud collaboration and the ongoing feature updates that Office 365 subscribers receive. You will still receive critical security updates and bug fixes to Office 2019. You will also be able install Office 2019 only on one device, as opposed to the five devices that Office 365 allows.

Office 365 & Office 2016
This article was published before Office 2016 was released. You could still download a preview copy to test it out for free at the time. Post-release, this is no longer the case. There's no trial version. If you wish to test Office free of charge, you will need to access Office 365 (see below).
The links below still work to download Office 2016's installer. This then grabs Office 2016 setup files. To install the suite, you will need to have a product key.
Office 365 does not have an offline installer. You will receive a small package which will allow you to download the application.

The trial period lasts only 30 days. A valid Microsoft account is required to download the first application. You will need one if you don't already have one. To take part in the trial, you will need to provide your payment information.

Office 2013
This is the final RTM version, which can be used for 30 consecutive days without restrictions (i.e. It is a trial version. It includes Word, Excel and PowerPoint, OneNote. Outlook. Access, Infopath. Visio viewer. Publisher. Lync. The linked files are large; 667MB and 769MB, respectively.
Office for Mac 2011, Office 2010 & Office 2007
Microsoft quietly removed all of its download servers, which used to host hundreds of ISO files. Many of these ISO files were on www.office.com/setup installation key. This means you can't legally download offline installers for Office 2010, Office for Mac 2011, and Office 2007.
There are no legal means of providing a direct download path to Office 2007; the only way you can obtain a copy is by linking Office 2007 URL for free and entering the product key. This will pull the relevant Office 2007 product.

Noting that Office 2007 is now out of support, it will not be receiving updates from Microsoft. Unsupported versions of Office can be exploited by hackers and security flaws will not be fixed. Microsoft supports many other versions of Office and we recommend that you use one of them instead of Office 2007.
Office Mobile apps
These apps include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote. They are all optimized for touch and mobile devices, so you don't need a keyboard or mouse to use them.
To run them, Windows 10 must be installed. Clicking on the links below will open Store (Microsoft's equivalent to Google Play) to download the file.
