Can Intune Manage Desktops?

Management termed "Windows Intune for small and medium businesses." With the help of the internet, Windows Intune provides management and security features for Windows PCs. It is a cloud-based service. it is cloud-based. Windows Intune provides desktop management and security with no need of servers. Other programs or tools that offer security and desktop management to computers require servers to execute the tasks.

It is a Desktop Management tool from Microsoft's, Windows Intune has been created to offer security and management of desktops to up to 25-500 computers within an enterprise. The security and management of desktops that is offered by the all-in one Windows Intune software includes features such as:

  • Patch management

  • Remote assistance via remote

  • Inventory management for desktop computers

  • Enforcement of security policies and

  • Malware protection

With these capabilities In addition, the use of Windows Intune software can prove to be beneficial since every machine controlled by Windows Intune, can be upgraded to Windows 7 Enterprise. Furthermore, the Windows Intune license provides access to the Microsoft Desktop Optimization Pack (MDOP) which provides enhanced group policy management as well as the virtualization system MED-V in addition to more sophisticated diagnostic capabilities.

There is no need to upgrade the software since it will update itself in a timely manner. With the help of Windows Intune software managing the desktop of any computer that runs Windows operating system installed and an Internet connection is possible using any Windows device with Internet connection.

Beta versions that comes with Windows Intune will be limited and accessible to just 1,000 users in the US, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico and can be used to manage at least 20 PCs.

Last but not least, the deadline to sign up for Windows Intune is 16th May 2010. The good news is that Windows 10 will be commercially available on a monthly basis after a year. Microsoft hasn't released any details regarding the price or price Windows Intune.
