If that is the case, then it is quite normal since mywifiext.local is not a normal website, but it is a local internet address used to configure the parameters (Genie or Configuration Assistant) of a WiFi Extender. If http//mywifiext.local not working, then make sure that the device must be physically connected by Ethernet or WiFi to the WiFi extender.
