Erectile dysfunction (ED)

by hilda xavier (2020-09-14)

The ED is defined as the inability lasting or repeated to achieve sufficient rigidity of the penis, and keep the time necessary for satisfactory sexual intercourse. The term refers only to the erection capacity of the penis and does not imply disorders of sexual desire, ejaculation or orgasm. For erectile dysfunction to be determined, the condition must last for a minimum of three months. Despite being a benign disorder, the repercussion of this problem affects the psychosocial health of the individual and can cause a significant alteration in the quality of personal life and the family and couple environment.
