Step one - looking for a license key
To transfer your Office license, you must enter the 25-digit code found on the back of your disc cover. If you bought Office online, look for the activation code in your mailbox.
You will not have any problems if you bought the software from Microsoft along with the account, and then signed in - then the user's password and account will be associated with each other. Next, you will need to log in using the old data - www.office.com/myaccount.
Step two - deactivate the license on the old device
- Go to office.com/setup on the old computer;
- Sign in to the Microsoft Store. You will need your email address and password for your Microsoft account to do this. Now all activated versions of the software are available to you;
- Click the orange "Install" button next to the desired program:
- In the "Programs" section in the control panel, select the "Uninstall a program" action;
- Find the "Microsoft Office" entry in the list and click on it:
It remains to install and activate Microsoft Office by inserting the disc with the program into a new computer. If there is no disc, download the software from the official Microsoft website. Pay attention to which bit version you are downloading. www.office.com/setup
When you open any program (Word, Power Point, Excel), a pop-up window will prompt you to activate the software. If you bought Office from the manufacturer, then just sign in to Microsoft with your account. You don't have to reuse the key:
