If we burn 500 more calories than we eat in food each day of the week, we will achieve a caloric deficit of 3,500 calories a week, that is, half a kilo. And if we want to lose weight faster, we can expand that caloric deficit to 1,000 calories a day: that way, after a week the caloric deficit would be 7,000 calories and, therefore, a kilo would have been lost.
