Joint n 11 Review

by hilda xavier (2020-09-25)

Joint pain affects different areas of the body, such as the fingers and toes, wrists, or knees, and is often associated with stiffness, tenderness, and inflammation. Joint pain, arthritis or osteoarthritis (the most common form of arthritis) can be accompanied by inflammation of one or more joints and occurs in different ways. For example, in osteoarthritis, the cartilage of the joint (the spongy tissue that protects the joints) deteriorates, and its ability to regenerate is limited, resulting in a loss of cartilage over time. As a result, the unprotected bones rub against each other and cause swelling, pain and bony bumps in the joint, thus causing stiffness and difficulty in movement. The most common pain joints are the sacroiliac and the knee, hip, and shoulder joints. The sacroiliac joint is located at the confluence of the sacral and ilium bones (pelvic bones). It is located under the lumbar area of the spine and above the coccyx, and transmits all the force of the chest to the pelvis, hips and legs. Of all the joints, the knee joint is perhaps the most frequently damaged and the most likely to cause pain.
