The brain controls what you think and feel, how you learn and remember, and the way you move. It also controls many things that you barely notice, like your heartbeat and the digestion of food.Think of the brain as a central computer that controls all the functions of your body. The rest of the nervous system is a network or framework that sends messages in both directions between the brain and different parts of the body. It does this through the spinal cord , which runs down the back from the brain. It contains nerves inside, filaments that branch out to other organs and parts of the body.
